I am an internal medicine physician, health economist, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. My focus involves global health and health systems with a focus on immigration and incarceration. I have been published in JAMA, JAMA Network Open, The Lancet, and Health Affairs. I have spoken at the State Department, USAID, the Department of Homeland Security, and have been a consultant for the World Bank.

I completed my BA at Amherst College, MD at the University of Pittsburgh, MPH and residency at Johns Hopkins, and General Internal Medicine fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. I received my PhD in Health Policy and Management (Economics Cognate) at UCLA.
